The Gift of Trust

3 · 03 · 19

Fear of the unknown can create panic attacks, but I’d rather have trust
than knowledge. We’d all like to know what God will do and how he will do it. To have such knowledge would diminish our trust in God or even
make trusting God irrelevant.

I’m glad I can’t make God do what I want. I’m glad there is no formula, no prayer, no ritual that bends God to my will. If that were even possible, I would only cheat myself of what is better, life giving and perfect.

I’m in full trust mode.

I am job searching for what works for me and my family.

I’m trusting God for one of my kids (your prayers, please)

I’m trusting God for wisdom and a way forward.

Have you been there? Are you there?

Trust changes us, and it should.

Trust means we’re not in control, which means miracles can happen.

Trust is a gift that we should treasure.

Don’t trade trust for a sure thing. You may not get want you want or even what you deserve. Worse than that, you won’t learn anything.

Then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.… Prov. 3:5,6
