How clear was your vision for your job, your ministry, your family, your life in 2023?
If it wasn’t clear, was it due to outward causes? Inward turmoil? Some of both?
“It’s a lack of clarity that creates chaos and frustration. Those emotions are poison to any living goal.”
~ Steve Maraboli
Plans solve problems, so what is your plan to resolve your clarity problem?
If you need a starting point to clear away the blur and haze, allow me to offer a few thoughts on clarity.
So, how does one get clarity?
“Rain is good for me. I feel like I achieve clarity actually when it rains. The longer I have to sit and wait, the clearer my game becomes to me.” ~ Venus Williams
Sitting. Waiting. Meditating. Praying. Stillness. All words most of society shuns. What do think about when you hear these words? Do you use excuses like,
👉 I don’t have time.
👉 I lack the patience.
👉 I have more important things to do.
This may be why you don’t have the clarity you’re looking for.
Consider Psalm 14:10
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Consider Psalm 14:10
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Stillness and knowing go hand in hand.
Consider the Israelites who could not afford to give God themselves,
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling, Isaiah 30:15
They were unwilling.
Slowing down is a choice.
Clarity is the fruit of stillness.
God wants to clear things up for you but you must be willing to slow down enough to receive it.
I believe, if you take the time to slow down, and not give into the tyranny of the urgent, a picture will come into place of what God wants to do in your ministry and your life.
