“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit,” striving together as one for the faith of the gospel Philippians 1:27

The beginning of this verse reminds me of the tag line from a beer commercial “Are you up for whatever?” Whatever happens, conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel. Whatever happens;

If someone gossips about you
If someone steals from you
If you lose your job
If someone spits in your face
If America’s courts and politicians make choices you don’t agree with
if someone disagrees with your theology
If someone challenges your authority
If you get sick
If people don’t act like you want them to
If someone calls you out on FB
If the devil comes against you
If your favorite t.v. show gets cancelled
If you and your spouse get in an argument
If your kids are misbehaving
If someone is rude to you
If you are blessed beyond measure
If you’re having a bad (hair) day
If you win the lottery
If you go bankrupt

Whatever happens. Conduct yourself in a manner worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Are you up for whatever happens?
