Love is in the air and so is the BO of your middle school students. Hard to tell them apart some times. Here’s your special edition YMRU V-Day edition and it’s packed with games, articles, and lessons.
In additions to what’s below, why not start a #loverevolution after your teaching series. It’s packed with graphics and devotions for both Instagram and Facebook.
Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone – we find it with another. – Thomas Merton
What I find most disturbing about Valentine’s Day is, look, I get that you have to have a holiday of love, but in the height of flu season, it makes no sense. – Lewis Black
Romance is thinking about your significant other, when you are supposed to be thinking about something else. – Nicholas Sparks
For me, one of the toughest things about Valentine’s Day is that it gets geared up as the day to profess your love. See, T-E-S-T – that’s a bad word that doesn’t go with L-O-V-E. – Matthew McConaughey
Bible Lessons and Articles
Pre-Teen Lesson On God’s Love (I think this will scale to Middle and High)
I have a few ideas here you use
So easy to do. Choose some nasty stuff (olives, sardines, etc.) and let kids decide if it will chocolate. Maybe turn it into a quiz about valentines day or a bible quiz about love and wrong answers have to eat the nasty covered chocolate things. Maybe, Fast Food will it chocolate? Hmmm.
