Good morning awesome people,

I love milestones, they tell me if I’m making progress. The next YMRU will be #50! This weeks marks the milestone of writing newsletters to youth workers for 10 years. Thanks for being on the journey with me. I’ll see if I can dig up something cool to give away for the next issue.

It really doesn’t matter how small the milestone is. Kids who constantly check their height at their mom’s home made measuring stick on the wall, aren’t looking to see if the’ve grown six feet, they get super pumped that they grew an inch.

Progress.

Take a minute and count your small wins. Stop worry whether your youth group will grow in the tens and rejoice that one student has been consistently coming after their visit.

The same can be said for your own spiritual progress, stop worrying about whether devil’s will leave at your command and start rejoicing that your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Luke 10:20).

Mark your milestones, great and small.

Have a great week!

Giant Minesweeper. Sure, you can’t put a t-shirt cannon under the sand, but here are some work arounds.

  1. Use tape on the floor to make boxes.
  2. Have designated people with a whip cream pie. If the other team jumps on the mine square, they get pied.
  3. Otherwise, play as the video says with sending people out of the room, cones or plates to mark spaces, etc.
