the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
The creed confirms Christ’s promise/prophecy of rising on the third day. Because of this statement I can not only trust in a risen Savior but a living Savior that keeps his promises.
He ascended into heaven. Christ is no longer limited to the earth. I do not have have to go to his location for a miracle, He comes to me through through the Spirit. Christ offers me two perspectives, one from His earthly journey and one from heaven. He walked in my shoes, felt my temptations, suffered disappointment, loss, and death. There is no moment when He cannot identify with me. With Christ’s heavenly perspective from Revelation, He gives me confidence, “Don’t worry,” He says, “I’m on the other side of the curtain. Fear not.”
He sits. Christ is not pacing back and forth in worry. He sits confidently that His perfect work on the cross is enough, finished. But I also think about who he sits next to. He sits next to His Father. he intercedes for me, whispering to the Father, not gossiping about my sin, but presenting my requests. I like to think of Jesus as a baseball scout bragging to the general manager about the new talent he found saying things like, “Watch him hit this!” and “I’m gonna help Him with his slider.” Jesus is for me not against me.

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” John 2:19
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:14,15
Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:25
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Romans 8:34
Prayer
Father, I come to you boldly, not in my own power but because I have advocate. You Son, my Savior, sits at your right hand. He speaks for me. His sacrifice has made me worthy and my prayers sweet to your ears. Let me walk in confidence and holiness knowing that I have all of heaven behind me.
