Youth Ministry Round Up #27

2 · 11 · 19

Hey All,

The message you heard from the very beginning is this: we must love one another. (1 John 3:11)

The world is filled with so much vitriol these days. Even coming from believers. All this negativity is exhausting. I’ve considered quitting social medial more than once, but here I am. It’s hard to love others in 47 characters.

John said, we MUST love one another, it’s not optional. In fact, love is the only thing that will overcome the darkness, both online and off.

Martin Luther King Jr. said,

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

The Apostle Paul said,

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:2

The word good, in this text, means

inherently (intrinsically) good; as to the believer, 18 (agathós) describes what originates from God and is empowered by Him in their life, through faith.

This month, let’s love and do good and we can push back the darkness, if we all push together.

Have a great week!

You are loved!

Paul
