Everyone has a special time of year no mater what type of business or industry they’re in. Suntan lotion makers like summer. Ski pole makers like winter. Umbrella makers like spring because of all the rain. But what season do youth pastors like?

Are you a Fall guy when all the students come back and ramp up all the programs?

Are you a Winter guy stoked because of your annual ski trip?

Maybe you’re a Summer guy because you love camp.

Is Spring your thing because of a retreat or is it an easy teaching season with Easter in the mix?

I am planning my fall right now and I think it’s going to be pretty epic. I have one of      “my” better theme ideas in mind. You may not feel the same way. Maybe you are dreading fall planning.

What do you hate/love about planning?

If I did a course, like the recent Summer School Series, on fall planning, what would you want to know about the planning process?

Let me know in the comments below.

Oh, and here is a really good post by Ryan Latham on the ingredients of a planning session.
